Today I would like to present the Invicta Pro Diver 8926OB.
This automatic watch is definitely an eye-catcher and the perfect choice if you are looking for an affordable automatic watch which is still of high-quality.
As you probably already noticed, this timepiece is a classic diver’s watch. It features a 40mm case with a rotating bezel, a screw-down crown, luminiscent hands and hour marks, a date-magnifier and a 200m water resistance. The dial and bezel are held in deep black, making it a versatile accessory for all occasions.
The case has a brushed finish on top of the lugs, the rest is polished. On the left side, the brand name “INVICTA” is engraved.
What I really love about this watch is the back of the case. Although it is covered most of the time when you wear the watch, I sometimes just like to take it off to enjoy looking at the exhibtion caseback and see the automatic movement do its work.
Let’s talk about the movement, the heart of the watch.
Even though, the Invicta Pro Diver is not very expensive, it surprisingly features the famous Seiko NH35A SII movement, which can also be found in watches of a higher price-range. This Seiko movement is known for being very accurate and reliable, running at 21.6k bph (6 ticks per second) and containing 24 jewels.
A big plus of this movement for me is the hacking seconds hand.
Alike the case, the solid bracelet has polished centre links and brushed side links. It is 20mm wide at the lugs narrowing down to 18mm at the clasp.
The clasp features an engraving of the INVICTA logo and lettering and is double-locking, so it is hard to lose this watch while swimming or diving.
Overall, the Pro Diver 8926OB by Invicta offers amazing quality for a reasonable price.
The Seiko movement is very accurate and trustworthy, the case is well-processed and finished and the solid bracelet feels nice and high-quality. Being water-resistant to 200m is more than enough for a daily use.
So if you are looking for a new automatic diver’s watch to add to your collection or to use as a daily watch, you cannot go wrong with the Pro Diver.
